HEALTH AND SAFETY

The health and safety of our campers and staff is of the utmost importance.  As an accredited American Camping Association camp, we go through an extensive review and assessment every five years to maintain our status.  Most years we exceed their expectations in all areas.  Criminal and sex offender background checks on all staff members and employees.  In addition, DHHS of the State of New Hampshire inspects camp yearly for compliance and strict safety and health standards.

Medical Care:  Two nurses live on camp grounds and provide coverage 24 hours a day. We have clinic calls three times a day to be proactive towards any minor illnesses in addition to our nurses being connected via walkie-talkie at all times.  Our local pediatricians’ office, Upper Valley Pediatrics, in Bradford, VT,  oversees our nursing staff and the office is 20 minutes away. Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital is 35 minutes from camp. First Responders in the Town of Orford are the first group to arrive in a medical emergency.  All medical staff are licensed by the State of New Hampshire.
