Camp Merriwood Activity Summary

The Camp Merriwood scheduling procedure aims to create variety and individualization with your program. Classes are scheduled to meet in groups of two days, Monday and Thursday, Tuesday and Friday, and Wednesday and Saturday. If you sign up for a class that meets twice a week, that class will have approximately 12 sessions during the seven weeks. (The last week of camp is special, remember?) However, you may sign up for a class 4 or 6 times a week if you want more of that activity in your schedule i.e. 4 times a week will be 24 classes and 6 times a week will be 36 classes.

Certain activities such as riding, tennis, and swimming will be scheduled for you before you come to camp in accordance with your skill level. Intermediates, Sub-Seniors, and Seniors will sign up for the remaining classes on their schedules during “registration” which will be held your first evening at camp. Juniors will be scheduled before camp with an exciting balanced program. (8-10 year olds)

We have a very talented staff capable of teaching many activities. If you have a special class you would like to see offered, please let us know.
